EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a somatic therapy that supports the nervous system in re-patterning how traumatic experiences are held and remembered. Rather than reliving the past, EMDR helps shift your relationship to memories that continue to live in the body, so they no longer interrupt your ability to be here, now.
Through gentle bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, tapping, or sound, EMDR activates the brain’s natural capacity to process and integrate experiences that were once overwhelming. As these memories are reprocessed, their emotional and physiological charge softens, allowing the body to respond with greater flexibility and ease.
This approach does not require detailed retelling of painful events. Instead, it works beneath the story, helping unresolved trauma settle so you can move through life with more presence, stability, and a renewed sense of safety in yourself.
